Boasts 33 years of experience in the flooring industry. Prior to owning his own Carpet One store (since 1994), Ian worked for various floor covering manufacturers, managed a Carpet One store and gained experience in the Real Estate industry. Passionate about people - Ian believes customer service is Paramount.

Treasurer
Board member since October 2008

Gerard’s experience in the flooring industry spans over 40 years. As one of the original members of Carpet One, Gerard believes the expertise and camaraderie that exists amongst the current members makes them one of the strongest companies in the industry.

Secretary
Board member since October 2009

With 38 years in the flooring industry, Richard has also obtained an Associate Diploma in Business Management and is a qualified electrical fitter. Richard, his wife Debra, and their two children, own and manage two Carpet One stores in Queensland.

Director
Board member since October 2004

With extensive experience in the flooring industry (36yrs), Jim owns a successful Carpet One store in Sydney. Previously, Jim worked in the building industry as a qualified Carpenter. Like his fellow board members, Jim brings to the table an expanded knowledge of management capability, customer service and product expertise.

Michael moved to the flooring industry 12 years ago, following a sales career in Aircraft Engineering and management experience in the hospitality sector. Michael’s store has previously received recognition of their recycling efforts in business, when they were awarded 1st and 2nd place in the Hastings Council Customer Care Program.

General Manager
Joined in 2008

A masters graduate from the Queensland University of Technology, and background in business managament, David first joined Carpet One Australasia in 2008.  As General Manager, David brings a refreshing, modern and innovative approach to leadership in the industry.
