Elected by store owners, each board member own and run their own store out in the community. Their team spirit, expert knowledge of the flooring industry, and passion for the business, is what drives their vision for the continuing success of Carpet One.
David Meyer

Joined 2008
A masters graduate from the Queensland University of Technology, and background in business management, David first joined Carpet One Australasia in 2008. As CEO, David brings a refreshing, modern and innovative approach to leadership in the industry.
Lisa Mitchell
Chairperson
Board member since October 2015 and Chairperson since October 2021
A member with Carpet One since 2007, Lisa owns a successful Carpet One store in Brisbane with her husband Dennis. As a previous esteemed member of our Product Selection Committee, she brings to the table an expanded knowledge of management capability, customer service and product expertise.
Ian Bloomfield
Director
Director since 2006 and Chairperson from October 2008 to October 2021.
Ian boasts 33 years of experience in the flooring industry. Prior to owning his own Carpet One store (since 1994), Ian worked for various floor covering manufacturers, managed a Carpet One store and gained experience in the Real Estate industry. Passionate about people — Ian believes customer service is paramount.
Gerard Watts

Board member since October 2008
Gerard’s experience in the flooring industry spans over 40 years. As one of the original members of Carpet One, Gerard believes the expertise and camaraderie that exists amongst the current members makes them one of the strongest companies in the industry.
Frank Pinneri
Company Secretary
Board member since October 2015
Celebrating 21 years in the flooring industry, Frank currently owns and operates two Carpet One stores out of Adelaide. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and insight into the many facets of the flooring industry.
Paul Allen

Board member since October 2016
As a Carpet One member since 2008, Paul has over 26 years in the flooring industry and is the owner and operator of Carpet One Canberra.
Mark Bullus
Director
Board member since May 2023
As the owner and operator of Carpet One Darwin and a member since 2010, Mark boasts an impressive 43 years of experience in the construction industry. Notably, 38 of those years have been dedicated to floorcoverings management and sales.
