    Frequently Asked Questions

Vinyl plank flooring is a durable and versatile flooring option designed to mimic the look of natural materials like hardwood or stone. It consists of multiple layers that provide stability, comfort, and resistance to wear, making it a practical choice for various spaces. Its realistic designs and textures add a stylish touch while being easy to install and maintain.

Vinyl planks are highly durable and, with proper care, can last 15–20 years or more. Their lifespan depends on the quality of the product, the amount of foot traffic, and regular maintenance. Thicker planks with a strong wear layer tend to last longer, making them an excellent choice for both residential and commercial spaces.

Yes, vinyl planks can be installed over most existing flooring types, provided the surface is smooth, flat, and clean. However, it's essential to check the manufacturer's recommendations before installation.

To clean and maintain vinyl planks, regularly sweep or vacuum to remove dirt and debris, and use a damp mop with a manufacturer-recommended cleaner for deeper cleaning. Avoid abrasive tools or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surface. For specific care instructions and to ensure proper maintenance, always refer to the manufacturer's care and maintenance guide provided with your flooring.

When laying vinyl plank flooring, the best direction is typically parallel with the longest wall in the room, as this will create a sense of length and continuity throughout the space.

Vinyl plank flooring is a great investment for many homes due to its durability, affordability, and ease of maintenance. It offers the look of hardwood at a fraction of the cost, withstanding wear and tear in high-traffic areas. Its versatility makes it suitable for a variety of spaces, and its straightforward installation process adds to its appeal. For a stylish and practical flooring option, vinyl plank is definitely worth considering.

Visit the vinyl plank product page on the Master website for more information and to browse all products.

When laying vinyl plank flooring, the best direction is typically parallel with the longest wall in the room, as this will create a sense of length and continuity throughout the space. Furthermore, when it comes to small spaces like kitchens, placing the planks perpendicular to walls can create an illusion of a bigger area. In addition to that, if you have wider than average planks, then installing them perpendicular will also help make them look more balanced.
