    Frequently Asked Questions

For high-traffic areas, carpets made from durable fibers like nylon, triexta (SmartStrand), and high-quality polyester are excellent choices, as they resist crushing and maintain their appearance well, while natural wool provides durability with a luxurious feel if properly maintained. Loop pile carpets, such as Berber, also perform well in busy spaces due to their resilience to matting and ability to resist dirt and stains.

For the best results, choose a carpet with a low pile or looped construction, as these are easier to clean and maintain in high-traffic zones. Additionally, regular vacuuming and professional cleaning can help your carpet stay looking fresh for years to come.

Consider your lifestyle, the room’s usage, and desired aesthetic. For example, nylon is durable for busy areas, while wool offers natural luxury. Lighter colours can make a room feel bigger, but darker shades may hide stains better in high-traffic areas.

Wool is natural, luxurious, and durable, though pricier. Nylon is synthetic, very durable, and stain-resistant, making it popular for homes with kids or pets. Polyester is soft and affordable but less durable in high-traffic areas compared to nylon.

Regular vacuuming and prompt spot cleaning are essential to keep it looking fresh. For deeper cleaning, consider professional steam cleaning every 12-18 months, or as recommended by the manufacturer.

Always refer to the manufacturer's warranty information and follow their specific care and maintenance guidelines to ensure you’re preserving the carpet’s quality and staying within warranty terms.

Depends, some carpets can be very pet-friendly, especially if you choose the right type. Look for carpets made from stain-resistant materials like nylon or triexta, which are durable and easier to clean. Low-pile or looped carpets are also ideal, as they are less likely to trap pet hair and are more resistant to wear. Additionally, some carpets come with built-in stain and odor protection, making them even more suitable for homes with pets. Regular maintenance will keep the carpet looking great and help it withstand the demands of a pet-friendly household.

Carpet typically lasts between 5 to 15 years, depending on factors like fibre type, quality, and the level of foot traffic. High-quality carpets made from durable fibers like nylon or wool can last closer to 15 years, especially with proper care and maintenance. In lower-traffic areas, lifespan may extend beyond this range, but high-traffic areas may show wear sooner. Regular cleaning and preventive care can help maximize the carpet’s lifespan.

There is so much variation in the types of carpet, how it’s installed, the floor substrate, and what fittings and accessories are needed. Master is only too happy to provide either a cost guide or, better still, a visit to your home with their mobile showroom to give a more accurate estimate based on your space and needs.

Carpet installation can be challenging and requires specialized tools, skills, and precision to ensure a professional finish. While it’s possible to do it yourself, mistakes can lead to costly issues down the line.
To make the process easier and guarantee the best results, Master is only too happy to provide you with a fully installed quote. Their expert installers can handle the job efficiently and ensure that your carpet is properly fitted, giving you peace of mind and a flawless look.

Carpets can trap allergens like dust, pollen, and pet dander, but they can also help prevent these particles from becoming airborne. Regular vacuuming with a HEPA filter vacuum, along with professional cleaning, can reduce allergens in your home. You can see a list of allergy-friendly products on the Master website, and your local store can provide more guidance on the best options for your needs.

Yes, there are! You can look on the Master website for a list of environmentally friendly carpet options. Don’t forget to talk to us if you want to know more about these options and how they can suit your home.

To estimate the area in square metres, multiply the length of the room by the width (in metres).

    Carpet is sold in widths of 3.66m or 4m. eg. 3m x 3m room = 3m x 3.66m of Carpet. Requiring 10.98 m2 not 9 m2.

Sheet vinyl is sold in widths of 3m or 4m.

Modular products are sold by the box quantity. Box sizes vary by product. We recommend approximately an additional 10% for wastage.

Additional charges apply for uplift and disposal of existing flooring, movement of furniture, trims, floor preparation and minimum installation charges etc.

Based on these considerations the total installed price presented on this site is an estimate only.
