More than a century of carpet expertise
Feltex began in 1921 under the name Felt and Textiles of Australia, initially producing clothing and footwear before moving into carpet manufacturing.
By 1938, the company had produced Australia’s first locally manufactured woven Axminster carpet. Feltex has continued to evolve since then, building more than 100 years of knowledge across carpet design, yarn, colour and manufacturing.
That experience can be seen in a collection that balances established carpet-making techniques with changing Australian interior styles.

Feltex’s broadloom wool carpets also carry Declare Red List Free certification, which provides ingredient transparency and confirms that listed Red List chemicals are not present above the certification threshold.
