Melbourne made since 1978

Quest Carpets was established in 1978 and continues to design and manufacture its carpet at a purpose-built facility in Melbourne, Victoria. From there, its products are supplied to flooring retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Local manufacturing remains an important part of the business, with new colours, fibres and carpet styles developed alongside advances in manufacturing technology.

From soft twists to textured loops

The look of carpet can change dramatically depending on how the yarn is constructed.

Quest produces everything from smooth and comfortable twist piles to level, textured and patterned loop carpets. Some ranges create a subtle, even foundation for a room, while others use heathered yarns, multi-level textures or pattern to give the floor more presence.

With colours ranging from warm neutrals and earthy tones to contemporary greys, there are options for both understated interiors and rooms where the flooring plays a stronger part in the overall design.

A choice of carpet fibres

Different homes ask different things of their carpet, which is why the Quest collection spans several fibre types.

Solution dyed nylon features throughout many of its ranges and is available across both twist and loop styles. The collection also includes solution dyed polyester and polypropylene, providing further choices in softness, appearance and price.

For those drawn to natural fibres, selected Quest carpets are made from New Zealand wool, including loop pile designs such as Winslow.

Carpet for the way your home is used

A busy hallway may call for something very different from the carpet chosen for a quiet bedroom.

Quest produces ranges across a variety of residential performance levels, including carpets rated for heavy and extra heavy residential use. Some are created with active households in mind, while others place greater emphasis on softness and a more luxurious feel underfoot.

This variety means colour does not have to be the only consideration. Fibre, pile style, softness and how much traffic a room receives can all help narrow down the right choice.

Quality checked from the factory floor

Carpet production at Quest includes tufting and finishing at its Melbourne facility, with quality checks carried out throughout the manufacturing process. Products are also independently tested and graded for areas such as durability and intended use.

Every Quest carpet is backed by a manufacturer’s warranty, although the length and conditions vary between individual ranges.

Why Carpet One works with Quest Carpets

Quest brings together local manufacturing and a broad selection of carpet styles without limiting customers to one particular fibre or look.

That variety gives our stores plenty of scope to help customers compare soft twists, structured loops, wool and synthetic options according to the needs of each room.

Seeing and feeling carpet in person can make the decision much easier. Your local Carpet One team can help you compare samples and find a Quest carpet that suits the look and feel you want to create at home.
