Inspired by natural materials

Terra Mater approaches flooring with a strong focus on timber, texture and the way natural finishes shape an interior.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, the brand has developed a range that moves from genuine hardwood through to practical timber-look alternatives, giving homeowners different ways to create a warm and natural foundation throughout the home.

The colour palette reflects that approach, with blonde and natural tones, warmer mid shades and deeper finishes designed to work across coastal, contemporary and more architectural interiors.

The character of real timber

For those drawn to genuine wood, Terra Mater offers engineered timber in both European Oak and Australian hardwood.

Its WildOak collection uses real European Oak across ranges such as Odo, Soleil, Arlo and Donato, with wire-brushed finishes that bring out the natural grain and knots in the timber. Selected ranges are also available in herringbone for a more decorative look.

The Barrington collection takes a distinctly Australian direction, using Blackbutt and Spotted Gum sourced from New South Wales and Queensland. Each board has a genuine hardwood surface, so natural changes in grain and tone become part of the finished floor.

Timber looks for everyday living

When genuine timber is not the right fit for the room or budget, Terra Mater also offers hybrid, vinyl and laminate flooring.

ResiPlank Hybrid recreates the appearance and texture of timber in a rigid flooring format designed for everyday durability. The range includes light, natural and deeper tones, along with designs inspired by familiar Australian species such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum.

ResiPlank vinyl provides another lower-maintenance timber-look option, while NuCore laminate offers realistic wood designs with a durable, easy-clean surface.

These different constructions allow homeowners to compare the look they want with the practical requirements of the room.

From long planks to herringbone

The format of a floor can change the feel of the entire space.

Long, wide boards can create a calmer and more open appearance, while herringbone introduces movement and makes the flooring a stronger design feature.

Terra Mater offers both traditional plank formats and selected herringbone collections, giving customers more freedom to choose not only the colour of the floor, but how it sits within the overall interior.

Choosing between timber, hybrid, vinyl and laminate

Each flooring type brings something different to the home.

Engineered timber provides the grain, texture and natural variation of real wood. Hybrid offers a practical rigid flooring option where durability and water resistance are important. Vinyl provides a quieter, easy-care surface, while laminate offers another accessible way to achieve a convincing timber look.

The right choice depends on where the floor will be installed, how the room is used and what matters most to the household.

Your Carpet One flooring expert can help you compare these options in person and understand which construction best suits your project.
